Harvest and milling of the olives

Discover the work hidden behind one of the excellence of made in Italy and specifically of Apulian agro-food production. Start the day in the countryside and enjoy the harvest and the “combing” of the olives together with local people. After the work, relax yourself with a picnic surrounded by olive trees. Now you are ready to conclude this fantastic experience, learning the milling process of your harvested olives and obtai- ning in this way your own little bottle of extra virgin olive oil.

Harvest and crushing of grape


from September to middle October

Touch with your own hands an experience which extends “its roots in the ground”, giving you the possibility to have completely new sensations far away from the stress and daily routine! Enjoy an unique opportunity, alone or with your family, test yourself with the harvest of grape between rows of vines, contribute in the preparation of the must, learn the wine production techniques and visit a wine cellar. It all accompanied with tastings of local products and obviously good wines.

The experience includes: all the described activities (approximately 1-2 hours of grape harvest, brief lesson about the vine production and visit of a wine cellar), vines and local products tasting.

Fishing-Tourism


from July to September

Catch the unique opportunity to go on board of a fishing boat and to live the exciting adventure of fishing; a new way to know and especially to experience the techniques and tools of this activity. Discover together with fishermen how much and what you all have fished. Afterwards you can taste it in typical local recipes. Live the sea with who lives the sea, cuddled by waves of “a sea of” cordiality and welcome which characterized the local people.

The fingers in pasta!


All the year

With this experience you will learn how to prepare the typical Apulian pasta “orecchiette” (little ears). Your guide will follow you during the cooking lesson, while you prepare pasta, bread or the focaccia. Just the time to take off the apron and the food you prepared are done und steaming hot on their dishes, ready only to be tasted together with a good glass of wine.

The “mozzarelle” in the tutorial masseria


All the year

Enjoy the pleasure of a full immersion in the nature and the visit in a tutorial masseria (typical Italian manor farm), where you will be able to see and participate at the production of the mozzarelle (fresh Italian cheese) and other dairy products.

Journey to the Center of the Earth


from March to November

Visit the caves of Castellana Grotte. Accompanied by a speleologist-guide, you will descend towards the “Center of the Earth”, till a depth of 70 meters and you will walk around stalactites, stalagmites and precious crystals created by nature along a period of millions years. After have full your eyes with the beauty of the White Cave (considered the most bright cave worldwide), you will be able to taste typical products. There is also the possibility of night tours.

Taste the sea and its Fruits


from April to October

Puglia could easily compete with Japan for the first place in consumed raw fish, the major part of it are sea fruits. Enjoy and experience new tastes, try sea fruits and typical products accompanied by a good wine after a field trip to the archeological site of Gnatia (Egnatia); one of the places which you will not find in common tourist itineraries but which deserves a visit if you pass throughout Puglia.

The experience includes: tasting of sea fruits (like sea urchins, oysters, mussels, etc.) and local products, visit at the museum and archeological site of Gnatia, guide.

Festivals and celebrations


from July to August

Participate at one of several festivals and celebrations that every summer animate the hot Apulian nights. Walk between the colours of the typical illuminations, the perfumes and tastes that come from the several culinary stands. Enjoy festivals and celebrations like a local resident.

Fishing with the ”Lampare”


from April to October

Enjoy a pleasant experience that you will remember forever. You will start from the Adriatic coast in the twilight to participate at an ancient type of fishing: “la pesca cu le lampare“, that are lamps which are used to attract fishes. Fishing, you will talk with fishermen and you will taste together with them not only what the catches but also the emotions of a magical night. Alternatively classic fishing tourism during the day.

The fingers in clay


All the year

One of the best way to comprehend the local culture is learning the techniques of handmade craft. This is way we want to propose you mini courses to see and experience by yourself the manufacturing of “terracotta”, one of the oldest artisan traditions of Salento. Taste local receipes and enjoy by yourself what the other see only as a finished product!

On board between the caves of Salento


from April to October

Admire the innumerable caves which decorate both the Adriatic and the Ionian coast. Enjoy the sun on board, or if you prefer, take the “helm” and sail in freedom. There is the possibility to opt for day trip (or boat rent without request of boating license) to the Adriatic coast, Ionian coast or both. There is furthermore the opportunity of lunch or dinner on board and/or tasting of typical products.

Salento's pizzica and taranta


End of August

Full your nights with sounds, perfumes and joy participating at one stage of the famous “Notte della Taranta” (known as the Mediterranean Woodstock ), or follow the entire musical show. Between peculiar towns and music you will enjoy one or several nights of healthy fun.
